This memorial website was created to remember our dearest Deja Brown who was born in Illinois on January 3, 1991 and passed away on February 28, 2009. You will live forever in our memories and hearts.
Deja Arerianna Brown was born Janurary 3, 1991 in Maywood, Illinois to proud parents Vernon Brown and Janine Wells-Brown, who preceded her in death.
Everybody knew that Deja was “Daddy’s Little Girl,” he affectionately called her his “Dee Dee.” In the words of Nat King Cole they were, “Inseparable.”
Deja enjoyed braiding hair, she was exceptionally creative and she kept a picture portfolio to showcase the styles that she designed. She absolutely loved shopping, it was one of her favorite pass times; if it was new she had it and if she didn’t, daddy got it.
Although Deja did not have any blood sisters she had an abundance of “Sister-friends,” that she enjoyed spending time with, and loved and shared a special bond.
Deja was diagnosed with leukemia as a young child, the doctors gave her a very short time to live but being the fighter that she was, she defied the odds and proved to be a living miracle from God.
In leui of of flowers & gifts, the family requests that donations be made to the National Childrens Leukemia Foundation at https://www.leukemiafoundation.org/donate/memory/
